Summer camps for schoolchildren in May

CHENNAI: The Department of School Education will organise summer camps for students of Classes Four and Five in May. Around 12 lakh students will benefit.

Being organised as part of the implementation of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (Education for All movement), the camps will cover 37,000 government, aided and corporation schools across Tamil Nadu between May 2 and 25.

The sessions will cover exercises to enhance Tamil reading skills, comprehension and basic math, including lessons in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
