ICF worker shot

CHENNAI : Ahmed Basha, a 34-year-old worker of Integral Coach Factory in Perambur, was shot three times by unknown assailants on Saturday evening, police said.

Basha was rushed to the Kilpauk Hospital. After preliminary examination, doctors said that the patient appeared stable as the gunshots had wounded only the lower part of his body. More tests are required to ensure that any major artery has not been ruptured, a doctor said.

Police said that Basha did not recognise the attackers who had appeared on a motorcycle just as he was returning home from a gym at North Colony Welfare Centre in the ICF.
