Puducherry: Chief Minister N. Rangasamy launched a scheme to issue integrated certificates to students passing out of school after taking the public examinations (Standard X or XII), at a function in the Government Girls Higher Secondary School at Kadirkamam near here on Monday. The new certificates, introduced by the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, will do away with the need to approach different departments to get nationality, nativity, caste and income certificates.
Single document
The details will now be available in a single document. The photos of the students will be taken for the applications. The Chief Minister clicked a picture of a girl student of the school to mark the launch of the scheme. An official release said that in the first phase 22,000 students would be covered under the scheme between April 16 and 21. Those who appeared as private candidates for the examinations would be issued the certificates in the next phase.
