K.V. Ranga Reddy's wife dead

HYDERABAD: Tungabhadramma, wife of former Deputy Chief Minister Konda Venkata Ranga Reddy passed away in the wee hours of Monday. She was 101 and leaves behind a 104-strong family of her wards, down to her great grand children.

Affectionately called `Mother of Telangana' by people, she actively supported her husband in the freedom movement, especially in the struggle against the Nizam's rule. She also took part in the Andhra Maha Sabha movement in erstwhile Hyderabad State. The funeral is scheduled at the Punjagutta crematorium at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
