Paladugu breathes fire against Centre
Special Correspondent
Paladugu Venkatrao
HYDERABAD:
Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Paladugu Venkatrao, MLC, has hit out at the Centre by accusing it of failing to protect the State's interests in the face of the Maharashtra Government continuing its illegal construction of Babli project.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, he said Maharashtra had displayed scant regard for the Supreme Court although the latter had advised it not to go ahead with any work. The State Government, too, had failed in impressing upon the Centre about the adverse impact that Babli project would have on Andhra Pradesh.
Similarly, the beedi logo issue was also hanging fire and yet there was no attempt on the part of the Congress-led UPA Government to act on it.
