VISAKHAPATNAM: Centre of Indian Trade Unions has condemned the `victimisation' of some employees by the management of Visakha Dairy. In a statement, union general secretary A. Ajay Sarma alleged that the dairy chairman Adari Tulasi Rao, in a bid to cover up his own lapses, had terminated the services of three trade union leaders P. Ramprakasa Rao, S. Dharma Rao and K. Modhi Naidu for questioning the `wrong doings' of the management. The union leader appealed to the entire workforce in the district to condemn the termination of the workers. The State Government had appointed an all-party House Committee in 2004 to enquire into the allegations of corruption. The committee conducted an open enquiry in June 2005. The then managing director had admitted before the committee that the allegations were true. The trade union leaders had told the public about the outcome of the enquiry. Mr. Sarma condemned the dictatorial attitude of the dairy management in victimising the union leaders for taking a bold stand against corruption in the dairy. He demanded reinstatement of the union leaders who were removed from service.
