Lecturer commits suicide

VISAKHAPATNAM: A woman died under suspicious circumstances at Gajuwaka on Monday. Bangaru Suguna, 25, lecturer in a private college, was staying at her paternal uncle's house at Jogavanipalem in Gajuwaka for the past few days. On Monday morning when the other inmates went out, Suguna hanged herself from a ceiling fan hook. In a suicide note, she said that she was taking the extreme step as she was very short which was causing problems in her life. Gajuwaka Police are investigating the case.

Held in theft case

Dheeraj Singh, a military man and third accused in a theft case, was arrested on Monday. According to the police, two youth M. Venkat Rohit and D. Sankar Rao went to the house of B. Ahalya of Kurmannapalem VUDA Colony on January 11 this year and made her part with her gold ornaments threatening to kill her.
