Heritage Day for students at observatory

HYDERABAD:
INTACH is organising programmes for schoolchildren and teachers to promote preservation of Indian heritage and culture on Tuesday.
The programme in association with Department of Astronomy, Osmania University and Planetary Society, India, is to mark World Heritage Day celebrations.
Student members of INTACH Heritage Club of schools will conduct `Clean Up' awareness service at Nizamia Observatory of the Centre for Economics and Social Studies at Begumpet and later take part in the `Sky observation and awareness session'to focus on rich heritage of observatory and showcase its contributions at international level, according to Co-ordiantor of Heritage Clubs, Veda Kumar.
Schools may send five students along with one teacher and programmes would commence from 4.30 p.m.
