Dharmapuri: Collector Pankaj Kumar Bansal on Tuesday distributed appointment orders to candidates who were given training in Computer Numeric Control through the Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women . As many as 21 unemployed educated youth were given training for three months in the Jayam College of Engineering and Technology in Dharmapuri district during the first phase. The Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women had sanctioned Rs.2.10 lakh for the training programme. A stipend of Rs.1, 000 per month was given to the selected candidates. The youth would join industries in Hosur and Aurangabad. The second batch of training commenced at the Jayam College of Engineering and Technology. Under the Socio-economic Development Programme unemployed youth from naxal-affected areas would be given training in various vocational trades, including machine operator, welder, fitter and drilling operator. They would be absorbed in industries in Hosur on completion of the training.
