Gold: Passionable and Precious

Alluring, mystifying, fascinating, glamorous, precious, bold, elegant, stylish... wondering what this indicates? Well, all these characteristics definitely point out to women! But what is it that complements women? What else can it be other than GOLD!

This yellow metal is treasured as an heirloom and is handed over from one generation to the other. Despite the sky rocketing gold prices, we still find jewellery shops packed to the capacity on all days. So, what is it that makes this metal so special? The underlying fact is that gold can be designed and modeled as per customer requirements. The patterns and designs are never obsolete. In fact gold is the only metal that can effectively be used as a base to mount precious stones despite the stiff competition from white gold or platinum and silver.

Gold complements well with all precious metals including diamond and is preferred as the base metal all over the world. Moreover, gold has the capability of reinventing itself in various forms and shapes in tandem with changing times.

In the past it was the norm to wear heavy and intricate gold jewellery to match the heavy silk saree. Gold jewellery is available in 22 and 18 carats. Rhodium plated gold is gaining popularity these days. Mat finish gold is equally mystifying.

Costume jewellery is very popular these days. It adds style and enhances the beauty of the wearer, be it classic or stylish. Bracelets, earrings, bangles, anklets, navel rings and brooches all form part of the ensemble. Gold waist chains, armbands and hairpieces are a hit these days and go well with traditional and contemporary costumes. Gold necklaces and wristbands look good on tanned skin and suits Indians the best. Apart from this gold wristwatches are preferred as it gives a totality to the wearer. Body piercing form part of today's fashion and both men and women pierce various parts of the body and adorn it with gold jewellery. It is therefore evident that gold is gaining popularity amongst not only women but also men who adorn themselves with rings, bracelets and chains. Gold is definitely emerging as a fashion statement and as it blends well with any attire be it traditional or western!
