VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has not committed himself to any deadline to persuade the Centre to introduce a Bill in Parliament on categorisation of Scheduled Castes. He, however, assured Madigas here on Tuesday that his Government would work for the submission of recommendations by the Justice Poonchi Commission in respect of the State "as early as possible." "Though the commission constituted by the Centre is for the entire country, it will first visit our State and study the condition of different castes among the SCs," Dr. Reddy said at a public meeting organised by the MRPS.
