HYDERABAD: V. Archana of Hyderabad was selected to represent India in the Junior Federation Cup tennis championship to be held in Kuala Lumpur from May 7. The 14-year-old girl won a double, picking the singles and doubles titles in the under-16 category of the Lanco AITA National series tournament at Jubilee Hills Centre recently. For Archana, the 10th standard student of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, this will be her maiden Federation Cup appearance. "I deem it as a great privilege to represent the country. I have been training really hard and I hope to give my best," she said.
Chess coaching
GM Tejas Bakre will join IMs Vishal Sareen, V. Koshy and Lanka Ravi in a unique chess coaching through the website cyberchess.co.in, designed by Ravi himself.
The students can send their latest tournament games with a brief analysis and get the feedback from him. They will be told the dos and don'ts and also be sent chess material. The programme will commence from May 1. The free registrations offered will close on April 25.
Virtusa in final
Virtusa entered the basketball final of the Hyderabad Coffee Day corporate sports meet with a 56-27 win over UBS . In the other semifinal, HSBC defeated Infosys 67-54 with Neoker (27) being the top-scorer.

Chess championship
Dronacharya Chess Academy will organise the Rishi Jaideep State open chess championship on April 21 and 22 at the Vasavi Club (Khairatabad) here.
