Thanjavur: The Union Minister of State for Finance, S.S. Palani Manickam, on Monday distributed 204 colour television sets to beneficiaries of Sathanur panchayat in Thiruvaiyaru Panchayat Union. The Minister said that co-operative loans to the tune of Rs.7000 crore have been waived for the benefit of farmers. Durai Chandrasekaran, Thiruvaiyaru MLA, and elected members of rural bodies participated.
