KOLKATA: Sporting Clube de Goa made a late rally to post a convincing 3-1 win against host Mohammedan Sporting in a 14th round encounter of the 11th National Football League here at the Salt Lake Stadium on Tuesday evening. Nigerian striker Dudu Omagbemi struck twice in 20 minutes to help the visitor make it 2-0 by the 70th minute. The teams were locked goalless in the first half. Dudu struck the first goal off a back-cross from Nicolas Rodrigues in the 51st minute before finding the next one from a penalty after he was brought down by Mohammedan Sporting defender Madhab Das inside the box. Joseph Pereira took the match beyond the host's grasp scoring Sporting Clube's third goal in the 77th minute. Raman Vijayan pulled one back for Mohammedan Sporting in the 85th minute. The win helped Sporting Clube net 17 points from 14 matches while Mohammedan Sporting continued to remain in the relegation zone with 11 points after playing its 14th encounter.
