Sangareddy: CPI(Maoist) Area Committee secretary of Medak district Jaggari Srinivas Goud alias Zaheer alias Ganesh (26) and deputy commander Bokkula Narsimhulu (25) surrendered before Nizamabad range DIG Anjani Kumar and R.B. Nayak, SP, here on Tuesday. Srinivas carried a reward of Rs. 50,000 on his head and was involved in three murders of an RMP doctor , Khajapur sarpanch, and a farmer militant of Allipur and 12 other cases, including attack on Mannanoor police station in Mahabubnagar district. Speaking to reporters, the surrendered Maoists said that the police have a strategic edge over Maoists. Srinivas said Maoists were concentrating Chhattisgarh area now as the Nallamala forests had been breached by the police. Attributing the surrender of naxalites to the counselling melas held in different parts of the district, Mr. Nayak hoped that more extremists would surrender in future.
