DINDIGUL: T. Pichandi, Special Commissioner, Department of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, appeared before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court here on Tuesday in connection with a case filed against a HR & CE inspector by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption wing of the police. The police arrested Venkatachalapathi at Sri Abirami Amman Temple here on a charge of accepting bribe from Muruganandham, who applied for funds allotted by the Government to renovate temples manned by Adi Dravida people .He was arrested and produced before the CJM court. The court had directed the special commissioner to appear before it and express his views.
