People told to take part in `Praja Patham'

Staff Reporter

ADILABAD: Social Welfare Minister and Adilabad district in charge D.S. Redya Naik on Tuesday requested villagers of Jatarla in Bazarhatnoor mandal not to boycott the `Praja Patham' programme as it was meant for their own benefit. He sought their cooperation in making the programme a success.

Villagers had threatened to boycott the programme in view of Jatarla not being selected in phase one of development under `Indiramma'. The Minister assured them that all villages would be developed in a phased manner under the programme.

Mr. Redya Naik said programmes like `Indiramma' and `Praja Patham' only strengthened democracy.

The Minister was accompanied by Boath MLA Soyam Bapu Rao, Collector R. Subba Rao and ITDA Project Officer Saurabh Gaur at Jatarla, Geekonda and Degaon where the `Praja Patham' was held.
