Organisations demand State fulfil promises made by Chief Minister

VISAKHAPATNAM: The district unit of Mala Mahanadu organised a dharna in front of the Collectorate here on Tuesday in protest against constitution of Madan Mohan Pooch Commission as part of a statewide agitation.

The Commission was formed by the Central Government against the spirit of the Supreme Court judgement in the case of classification of Scheduled Castes, said district president Janga Trimurtulu.

The Mala Mahanadu activists burnt an effigy of the Commission after staging a dharna and submitting a memorandum to the district officials with their demands.
