Five more cooperative bank branches planned

CHENNAI : The Tamil Nadu State Apex Cooperative Bank, which has 45 branches in and around Chennai, will open five more branches in the city. It will also establish Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in 40 branches in the city, Cooperation Minister E. V. Velu informed the Assembly on Tuesday. Replying to the debate on demands of his Ministry, the Minister said the ATMs would be networked to enable the bank's customers to draw money from any ATMs in the country.

According to the policy note, the bank earned a net profit of Rs. 32 crore during 2006-07.
