Committee formed

CHENNAI : In order to streamline the process of issuance of sale deeds by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB), the State Government has constituted a high-level committee headed by a retired Judge of the Madras High Court, Justice P. Bhaskaran. The committee, which shall comprise all Collectors, is to submit its suggestions and recommendations to the Government.

According to an official release, the panel shall advise the Government on solving the longstanding disputes between allottees and the Board, ending compensation claims pending in courts and marketing unsold houses. It will also look into issues such as fixation/simplification of rent and interest rate.
