Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD:
Ranga Reddy district unit of the CPI(M) on Monday condemned the alleged high-handed behaviour of the Saroornagar police against Ibrahimpatnam legislator M.P. Narasimha.
The policemen were alleged to have beaten the MLA while he was trying to prevent them from vacating hut dwellers at Saroornagar. They were forcibly trying to evacuate over 750 people on 35 acres of Government land. "He was trying to pacify the police, but they beat him and arrested him," party secretary D. G. Narasimha Rao said, in a press release, here.
