It's raining music this April in Bangalore

Breezing in gently, April showers in the city have given people a preview of the monsoon magic. Gentle evenings with soft sunsets seemed to have put quite a few in a romantic twirl.

This mood is complemented by the sentiments from the hit movie "Mungaru Male", which has large dollops of rain and love.

So invariably, most cell phones carry ring tones of the dreamy songs from the film.

People can be seen, therefore, standing at signals with earphones plugged in, humming the songs.

Even the casual roadside Romeo has picked up the tune to sing to women passers-by, as this reporter found out.

One post-rain morning, a young chap who was ambling lazily along brightened up on spotting a young lady taking a walk and began crooning softly, "Anisuthide Yako indu, Ninenene nanavalendu" (which can be roughly translated as `Why do I feel today that you are only mine?').

Nice song, the lady thought, and moved on.

She had walked only a few metres when an autorickshaw driver noticed her.

And, no surprises for guessing, this driver too began singing the same song.

Which left the young lady wondering if the showers had anything to do with all the serenading.
