Naidu not to celebrate his birthday

HYDERABAD:
Telugu Desam party president N. Chandrababu Naidu has decided not to celebrate his birthday on April 20 and instead spend the day with the farmers who lost sugarcane crop owing to power cut at Zaheerabad in Medak district. In a statement, a spokesman of the party said Mr. Naidu would console the families of sugarcane growers who have committed suicide and later inaugurate a mega health check up camp and visit an orphanage at Sadashivpet in the same district. He asked party leaders, workers and followers not to come to Hyderabad to greet him but involve themselves in activities that would help common man like blood donation, medical check up camps and social service. He specifically wanted them not to issue any advertisements. Mr. Naidu has decided against any celebration in view of the distressing situation in the State when common people were reeling under price rise, farmers especially sugarcane growers were committing suicide unable to get remunerative price .
