HYDERABAD: Several parts of the city experienced showers on Tuesday.

The rain was a welcome respite to the people suffering from sweltering heat.

Some areas in old city plunged into darkness following sudden spell with strong winds.

Utter chaos prevailed at Himayathnagar when cloth banners on the road came off and even vinyl sheet of a hoarding peeled and left hanging.

Power supply was disrupted in many areas due to strong winds blowing across followed by showers.

According to the Met Department officials, rain or thundershowers are expected in parts of the city during the next two days.
