Bangalore: To commemorate World Disabled Day, some 60 people, including artists, students of fine arts and children with disabilities, came together to collaborate with the Association of People with Disability (APD), Karnataka Lalitkala Academy and Ken School of Arts to hold a "Kalamela: inclusive world of art". The APD believes that art is a medium to express feelings such as happiness, love and sadness, and the effort produced 50 paintings. The APD is planning to exhibit these paintings from April 20 to 22 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
Demonstration
The occasion will see a demonstration by artist James Mani. Ali Khwaja, counsellor, will inaugurate the show at 4 p.m. on Friday. The proceeds from the sale of paintings will go to children with disabilities for their education, medical rehabilitation and other needs.
