BANGALORE: Hotel workers, under the banner of Trade Union Coordination Centre, will take out a procession in protest against the alleged harassment by hotel managements and the police and will hold a public meeting in the city on May 1 on the occasion of May Day. Coordination centre president G.R. Shivashankar told presspersons here that the hotel workers are deprived of various facilities, including minimum wages, appointment letter, provident fund, ESI, bonus, salary slip, specified working hours, payment for overtime work and earned leave. A meeting of office-bearers of hotel workers' unions held on April 16 decided to take out the procession and hold the public meeting in support of the demands of the hotel workers, Mr. Shivashankar said. He said the public meeting would be held at Samsa Open Air Theatre behind Ravindra Kalakshetra.
