Namesake in Kochi

There is good news for film buffs waiting to see Mira Nair's latest movie Namesake. The movie, which had already won critical acclaim, will be screened at Sridhar Theatre in Kochi from Friday.

The movie is based on Jhumpa Lahiri's novel The Namesake. Sooni Taraporevala adapted the novel to a screenplay.

The movie maps the travails of immigrants, who face cross-cultural differences in their life. Mira Nair's cast include Irfan Khan, Tabu, Kal Penn, Zuleikha Robinson, Jacinda Barrett, and Sahira Nair.
