Is it a boon or a bane - the wider stretch of MG Road. Definitely a boon if one considers the fact that the road could have done with the increased width years ago. But then it has also come as a headache to motorists, courtesy those who park their vehicles in these additional spaces in a haphazard manner. The lone traffic constable at Pulimoodu junction can be seen shooing away motorists trying to park by the roadside. But then there are vehicles that the constable would not dare shoo away. These include those that sport the red board proclaiming a Government vehicle. For such cars, finding a space to park never depends on the amount of space available on the roads.
