Back with a vengeance

The summer rains that lashed the city last week helped bring down the mercury level to some extent, but the relief was short lived.

The sweltering summer heat is back with a vengeance. The humidity levels add to the discomfort of citizens, especially in the evenings. The only silver lining is the long-term prediction by the Indian Meteorology Department of a fairly good South West monsoon this year. Though more than a month away, the forecast is bound to bring good cheer to the citizens of the city.
