PLEA: Congress workers taking out a march in Bijapur on Thursday.
BIJAPUR: Congress workers took out a march here on Thursday against what they termed the "misrule" of the Janata Dal (S)-BJP coalition Government. The protesters led by District Youth Congress Committee president Jyopthiram Pawar and party's women cell head Vidyavathi Ankalagi took out the march from Siddeshwar temple premises to the Deputy Commissioner's office. They alleged that there had been corruption in the distribution of ration cards and anomalies in providing drought relief and compensation for crop loss during the last flood. The Government had also failed to respond timely to tackle the crisis in the sugarcane industry, the protesters added.
