ANANTAPUR: The Placement Cell in Sri Krishnadevaraya University (SKU) is conducting a career mela for the students of five departments on the university campus on April 21. Students of chemistry, biochemistry, instrumentation, computer science and business administration will get an opportunity of getting a placement. Director of the Placement Cell V. Suryanarayana Rao said on Thursday that three firms -- millennium software, microtome devices and Agarwal diamonds -- would visit the campus to select suitable students for the opportunities available with them. About 40 students were likely to be absorbed by the three participating firms, he said. The university will also launch Anantapur Development Initiation (ADI) programme on April 21, wherein the students will be fine-tuned for facing placement opportunities by training them.
