New Chairman for BSES

NEW DELHI: Lalit Jalan has been appointed the new Chairman of BSES Rajdhani Power Limited and BSES Yamuna Power Limited and also nominated as a Director on the Board of BRPL.

The announcement was made here on Thursday after the Board of Directors of Reliance Energy Limited met to approve the up-gradation of its leadership bandwidth in the management of BSES companies.

Mr. Jalan was appointed Chief Executive Officer of BRPL and nominated on the Board of BYPL in 2005.

After graduating from IIT Kanpur in 1979, Mr. Jalan did his Masters in Computer Science and MBA in Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

He is a recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award from IIT, Kanpur, and was chosen as one of the 15 achievers from the IIT system .
