BANGALORE: Mercury dropped, roads were flooded, signal lights went off and vehicles were stranded as summer showers continued in the city on Thursday. People huddled together in shared misery in any shelter they could find. Many returned home soaked and yearning for `bisi oota'. The city received about 28 mm of rainfall. While there were no reports of anyone being hurt, many instances of branches of trees crashing were reported. Three trees fell at Jayanagar east, two at Ulsoor and Narayanapura block, one each near Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, G.N.R. Choultry at Jayanagar V block, Peenya, 10th main in Sadashivnagar and Hanumanthnagar. Instances of water logging were reported at Koramangala 3rd and 4th block and Chandra Reddy Layout.
