Role of knowledge management highlighted

BANGALORE: Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, T. Ramaswamy, on Thursday said he would introduce the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in his department for higher efficiency.

He was inaugurating a two-day national workshop on "Knowledge management" organised jointly by the Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) and the International Institute of Information Technology-B (IIIT-B) in Bangalore.

IIT-B Director S. Sadagopan said that it was wrong to think that knowledge management was necessary only for the IT industry. CPRI Director-General A.K. Tripathy spoke.
