BANGALORE: A vehicle fleeing the police rammed a bus, killing two men and injuring four in Bangalore Rural district on Wednesday night. The police said the six men, who were driving to Bangalore from Kolar in a multi-utility vehicle, filled 50 litres of diesel at a fuel station at Narasapura in Hoskote taluk. As they sped away without paying, the staff alerted the Nandagudi police who gave a chase. The chase ended with the driver ramming a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus bound for KGF from Bangalore around 8.30 p.m. near Manamakali gate. Shaktivelu (23) and Fayaz (25), both residents of R.T. Nagar here who were travelling by the multi-utility vehicle, were killed on the spot. Of the four injured, Javed and Puneeth, who were also travelling by the same vehicle, were serious in a serious condition at NIMHANS, the police said. The Nandagudi police have registered a case.
Killed in accident
Two persons were killed in as many road accidents in the city on Wednesday night. Subash (20) of HSR Layout, a pedestrian, died after a car knocked him down near Mangammanapalya on Hosur Road around 11.15 p.m. As the car overturned, its driver Saleem suffered injuries, the police said. The Madivala traffic police have registered a case. In the other incident, Gowri (33) was killed after a goods vehicle hit a two-wheeler on which she was riding pillion on Jnana Bharathi campus road. The Kamakshipalya police have seized the vehicle and arrested the driver.
