Sangareddy: Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu, speaking to reporters near Pastapur of Jherasngham mandal on Friday, demanded PCC president Kesava Rao to wield his influence to stop the construction of Babli project than organising a bandh in five districts in Telangana on Saturday.
`Two minds'
He said that more than 15 lakh acres of land in Telangana district would be parched for water if the Maharastra Government completes the project. Reacting to a question on Telangana Rastra Samithi's president K. Chandrasekhar Rao allegation that TDP is politicising the Babli's issue, Mr. Naidu asked him to come to a conclusion whether Babli is detrimental to the interests of Telangana. He pointed out that Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao was in two minds on this issue.
