GUNTUR: Education Department has caught a student in Tenali writing Class 7 examination in a private school, who had allegedly brought a fully answered script of mathematics paper with exact question numbers. District Education Officer Movva Ramalingam told The Hindu on Friday that there were allegations of the General Science paper also getting leaked after Thursday's Mathematics paper. "On verification we have found that it was not matching fully, though 80 per cent of the questions were matching," he added. The department decided to give only grades for Class 7 examination in Guntur district and marks would be given to the schools only after the admission time three months from now, so that the private schools do not derive mileage out of these results, he observed. The Government had decided to completely abolish the public examination from next academic year, which would reduce the pressure on students and schools would be no more able to advertise ranks and marks for attracting new children. Meanwhile, the Deputy DEO was investigating into the mathematics paper leak .
