Bid to create professionals

Coimbatore: The two-year Post Graduate course in Educational Communication, designed by Bharathiar University, will create a new breed of professionals having appropriate values and ethos.

According to a university release, this innovative programme in Education is sponsored and funded by the University Grants Commission.

Educational Communication provides vehicles for the exchange of information among professional practitioners concerning the management of media and programmes, and the application of educational technology principles and techniques to instructional programmes. Educational Communication accelerates the evolution in the field of education and technology. Technology is making education more powerful and media is driving the use of innovations in technology. The proposed curriculum aims at empowering media in education. The main areas covered are Multi-media Technology, Fundamentals of Audio-video Production, Curriculum-Principles and Foundations, Instructional Technology, E-content Writing and Digital Video Editing. The course will expose the learners to industry professionals and help develop the connections they need to meet the goal - getting the job. By the time the students received their post-graduate degree, they would have the skills necessary to be hired by even major companies.
