BANGALORE: Soul Art Society from India and Holistic Theatre of Movement from Lithuania will present an evening of literary and cultural programmes on Sunday at Nayana here at 4.30 p.m. The evening will feature a "musical action", Adaptatio, which will be premiered in Bangalore. Founder of Holistic Theatre of Movement Zita Vilutyte, who has composed the music for the presentations, will perform along with Emilija Macyte and Ieva Saunoriute. "We are not dancers and will not present any drama as we are not actors. You will get to see a movement vocabulary, which will be impromptu," says Ms. Vilutyte, who started the company 13 years ago. She was initially an artist who became a musician (she has released quite a few CDs in her country) before being lured by the art of movement. She and her team will be accompanied by Tejaswai Raghunath (flute), Chandra Babu (mridanga) and V. Balakrishna (violin). An exhibition of graphics, "Mere Sahyatri", by Ms. Vilutyte will be up for display along with poetry written by Indukant Angiras, the man behind Soul Art Theatre. The evening will also witness the release of a book, "Lithuanian Lok Kathayen", which is a collection of Lithuanian folk tales translated into Hindi by Mr. Angiras.
