CHENNAI: Narain Shankar of Rams Racing team coasted to comfortable wins in both races of the first round of the JK Tyre Junior Racing Cup here on Saturday. Shankar capitalised on a good start in the first eight-lap race and finished almost 15 seconds ahead of his nearest rival. He was able to win the second race again from pole position. Nischay from Team Wallace Sports did well to finish second after starting sixth on the grid.
The results: Race 1: Narain Shankar (12:41.588s); 2. Sudarsan Rao (12:55.390); 3. Rohit Khanna (12:58.116). Race 2: 1. Narain Shankar (12:37.491); 2. Nishchay (12:51.345); 3. Sudarshan Rao (12:51.680+).
