NEW DELHI: Ahead of the crucial World Championship later in the year in the United States that will be the first Olympic qualifier for the 2008 Beijing Games, the Indian Amateur Boxing Federation (IABF) has chalked out international exposure trips for the young pugilists. A seven-member men's team will participate in the Ahmet Comert international tournament in Istanbul from May 8 to 14. A nine-member women's team will also fly out to the Turkish capital for the prestigious event. An eight-member sub-junior boys team will leave in the first week of May for the 5th International Cadet tournament for the President Heydar Allyev Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan, from May 7 to 13. The teams: For Ahmet Comert tournament: Men: Sanjay Kolte (48kg), H. K. Belwal (51kg), Bijender Singh (54kg), Diwakar (57kg), K. T. T. Singh (60kg), Jai Singh Patil (64kg), Dilbagh Singh (69kg). Coaches: Ajmer Singh and Shiv Singh. Women: Soniya Prabha (46kg), Kh. Mandakani Chanu (48kg), Ch. Lalita Rani (50kg), Sunita Yadav (54kg), Aswathy Prabha (57kg), Pavitra (60kg), Aswathy Mol (70kg), Renu (75kg), Jyotsana (80kg). Coaches: Mahavir Singh and Ajit Singh. For President Heydar Allyev Cup: Umesh Yadav (46kg), Madan Lal (48kg), Vipin Kumar (50kg), Pramod Kumar (52kg), V. Durga Rao (54kg), Aman (57kg), V. Santosh Kumar (60kg), Praveen (63kg). Coaches: M. S. Dhaka and K. S. Rao.
