Naxalites disrupt rail traffic
Special Correspondent
PATNA:
Naxalites of the CPI (Maoist) on Saturday laid siege to the Narganjo railway station in the Jammui district of Bihar after abducting three employees. This was done as part of their bandh call to protest the murder of their colleague in police custody recently. This affected train movements on the Howrah-Delhi route. Around 1 a.m. the naxalites took the cabin master and two others hostage and through them sent messages to the Asansol divisional office of the Eastern Railway that bombs and had been placed on the tracks. They were released later. The naxalites later fled without causing any damage to the station.
