People vexed with Congress, says BJP

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expressed the view that the people are vexed with the Congress Government.

In a political resolution adopted by the executive here on Sunday, the party said it was gaining strength across the country as also in the State. The Government was pursuing dictatorial policies by ignoring court orders also, it alleged.

The Congress `cheated' people by dilly-dallying on the Telangana issue, the resolution stated. The party had decided to launch a multi-pronged agitation in Telangana and awareness programmes on benefits of a separate State in Andhra region.

The BJP criticised the TRS and the Communist parties for "creating confusion" among people on the separate statehood issue. Spiralling prices, inflation, linking of issuance of gas cylinders to ration cards were failures of the regime, the party said. The resolution stated that welfare sector had taken a severe beating with the Government failing to release funds for hostels and scholarships.
