Taramani residents petition Mayor

: Residents of Taramani submitted a petition to Mayor M. Subramanian requesting renovation of the Ponniamman Temple tank. Taramani Exnora Innovators Club president Pon Kalaimamani said the ground water table in the locality would improve if the tank was renovated before the monsoon.
The residents also submitted a petition asking for full-time doctors in the Corporation's medical centre in Taramani. As there were several poor and lower middle class families in the area, part-time doctors were unable to meet the health care needs. Provision of a public library and community hall, better streetlights and desilting of storm water drains were some of the other requests made by the residents. The Mayor launched a greening project in the area by planting a sapling.
