West Indies and England fined for slow over rates
BRIDGETOWN:
West Indies and England have been fined for slow over-rates in Saturday's World Cup Super Eight match.
Match referee Ranjan Madugalle imposed the fines after England was ruled to be two overs short of its target at the scheduled finishing time of each innings, the ICC said in a statement. The West Indies was ruled to be one over short of its target. In accordance with the ICC Code of Conduct governing over-rate penalties, players are fined five per cent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time, with the captain fined double that amount.
