Puducherry: Speaker R. Radhakrishnan on Monday administered the oath to three members T. Thiagarajan (Congress), N. Kalainathan (Communist Party of India) and N. G. Panneerselvam (Pattali Makkal Katchi) inducting them as nominated members of the territorial Assembly. Chief Minister N. Rangasamy and his Cabinet colleagues, the Pattali Makkal Katchi Parliamentary party leader M. Ramadoss, the Leader of the Opposition A. M. H. Nazeem (Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam), General Secretary of Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee A. Gandhiraj, AIADMK legislator Ohm Sakthi Segar and host of legislators and functionaries of the Congress, the DMK, the CPI, the PMK were among those were present. The Speaker, Chief Minister and others greeted the three members. Immediately after being sworn in, the three members started attending the proceedings of the House.The induction of 3 members has brought an end to all speculation particularly when the ruling Congress could not reach a decision on the name of its candidate for the post of nominated member out of the total 3 members.
