BANGALORE: A Special Court here on Monday sentenced Abdul Karim Telgi and four others to 10 years rigorous imprisonment after finding them guilty of selling fake stamp papers, using counterfeit stamps and cheating the State Government and a private company of Rs. 4. 94 lakh. Judge Vishwanath Virupax Angadi also imposed a fine of Rs. 5,000 on Telgi, Anis Khan, Bahdurddin, Ilyas and Wazir Salik for each of the 19 offences they committed under the Indian Penal Code and the Karnataka Stamp Act. The judge passed the order of conviction on Saturday. The case relates to a complaint from Deccan Structural Systems Private Limited on Tumkur Road.
