Seminars mark Earth Day celebrations

Thiruvananthapuram: Seminars, photo exhibitions, interactive sessions and discussions marked Earth Day celebrations in the city on Monday. The facilities at the Centre for Earth Science Studies (CESS) at Akkulam were thrown open to students and scientists interacted with the children. CESS director M. Baba inaugurated the celebrations. The World Wide Fund for Nature-India and the Thenmala Eco-tourism Promotion Society jointly organised an All-Kerala Nature Photography Exhibition at the Museum auditorium.

A lecture on `The present status of forests and wildlife in Kerala' was also organised.
