Entrance examination begins

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Common Entrance Examination for admission to professional courses in the State began on Monday in 229 centres in and outside the State. The examination held on Monday was the Physics and Chemistry paper of the engineering entrance examination. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations B.S. Maoji said here that there were 3,050 absentees for Monday's examination. As many as 87,086 candidates had registered for the examination. The examination was held as per schedule in the two centres in New Delhi and the lone centre in Dubai, he added.
