Canadian national denied bail

NEW DELHI: A Delhi court has refused to grant bail to Canadian national Ernest Fenwick Macintosh who was arrested earlier this month in neighbouring Gurgaon on charges of performing indecent acts and assaults on men in more than 40 cases in Canada.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kamini Lau extended the judicial custody of Macintosh till April 25. The court rejected the plea of Macintosh's lawyer that there was no law in India under which he could be tried here for the charges levelled against him.
